Biomedical scientist and yoga fanatic!

Hi , I’m Angela, a part time biomedical scientist as well as a yoga fanatic, Mum and owner of a mad Springer Spaniel!

When I began my yoga journey in my early 20’s I thought that it was a fairly mystical and ‘out there’ practice (bear in mind, it was the early 90’s and yoga didn’t have anywhere near the amount of exposure that it does nowadays!).

Fast forward to my early 40’s and slowly the idea formed that yoga was much more than trying to get my body into different shapes - after years of running, gym work, PT and high impact classes I needed more than just the physical aspect of fitness. It dawned on me that I needed to be fit in both my body, mind and soul - yoga definitely fits that brief!

I have been qualified as a teacher since 2018 - and am constantly learning both in a training environment, from my practice, and best of all, from the students I am luck enough to teach!

I love when science and yoga meet, and my classes and worskhop’s always contain an intertwined approach of the 2 modalities. The beauty of this is I have many years experience learning in great depth, the physiology and anatomy of the body, which I often refer to as part of my offerings.

As a yoga teacher it is my responsibility to enable you to practice in an enjoyable, safe and accessible way. I aim to ensure that you get the pose to fit your body, rather than get into a specific shape. All my offerings are delivered in a trauma aware fashion with use of invitational language, and many pose options. We are all unique in our bodies, minds and souls and I firmly believe that this should be celebrated in a positive way.
