Menopause Yoga - What is it?

I am delighted to announce that I am now a fully qualified and accredited Menopause Yoga teacher. I shall be running my first menopause yoga workshop online on 9th January 2021 from 9 to 12. NO yoga experience is necessary to attend, you just need to be in a stage of menopause!

What to expect;

The aim of menopause yoga is to provide support to women in their 40’s and 50’s on their menopause journey. This is done in a variety of ways;

These include:

  •  a specially adapted yoga practice with breathing techniques and mindful meditation exercises to help manage the main symptoms such as hot flushes, anxiety, irritability, insomnia, fatigue, lack of focus and low mood.

  • guidance on natural remedies, nutrition, Indian Ayurveda, medical approaches to hormone replacement, journaling.

  • a women’s circle to share experiences.

It has long been understood that women coming together - even online - practising together and sharing common ground can be both empowering and healing.
